Friday 4th October – 13:00 – Rear Window (110 mins | PG)

Kicking off our season of Hitchcock Cinema is the 1954 classic; Rear Window.

A professional photographer with a broken leg whiles away the time by spying on his neighbours through his window. However, his pastime becomes serious when he witnesses an apparent murder.

Swooping in as our second film in the season of Hitchcock Cinema is the eerie horror/thriller; The Birds (1963).

The film revolves around a rich San Francisco woman, who follows a potential boyfriend to a small town in Northern California, where birds of all kinds have suddenly begun a deadly attack on humans.

Friday 15th November – 13:00 – Lifeboat (100 mins | PG)

“What happens when six men and three women are alone in an open boat?” Guess you’ll have to find out by coming along to our third entry in the season of Hitchcock Cinema; 1944’s Lifeboat.

This film revolves around eight survivors of a Nazi torpedo ship attack, who find themselves in the same boat with a man who sunk the ship.

Often listed amongst the greatest films of all time, we have North by Northwest (1959) as the fourth film in our season of Hitchcock Cinema.

An advertising man, Roger Thornhill, lands himself in big trouble when he is mistaken for George Kaplan. On the run from the police and a foreign spy, he meets Eve, which leads to a bigger problem.

Friday 13th December – 13:00 – Vertigo (130 mins | PG)

With our final film in the season of Hitchcock Cinema, we take you to the height of fear with Alfred Hithcock’s 1958 classic; Vertigo.

John, a retired detective from San Francisco, suffers from acrophobia. He is approached by an old friend, a rich shipbuilder, who wants John to investigate the weird activities of his wife, Madeleine.

We are delighted to announce the screening of the classic horror comedy Young Frankenstein with Wine at The Crescent this Halloween hosted by, none other than, celebrated Scientist and Sommelier Dr Wolfgang Frankenstein, Grandson of Dr Frederick Frankenstein, and Great, Great Grandson of Dr Victor Frankenstein alongside a tasting of five fantastic themed wines.

An American grandson of the infamous scientist, struggling to prove that his grandfather was not as insane as people believe, is invited to Transylvania, where he discovers the process that reanimates a dead body.

Giant Elves have taken over Crescent Theatre this December and they’re pouring wine!

Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves.
